DIY Rubberstamps

My mail friend, Andie, came down to Portland and stayed with me the last 2 days. We had a lot of fun hanging out in Portland, getting stuck in the rain & getting rained on in the bus. Most of our time was consumed with making rubber stamps. Our inspiration for carving rubber came while walking around Paper Source and realizing their rubber stamps were out of our budget. We walked back to the apartment and spent the rest of the evening making stamps.

Andie drew most of the designs because she is an amazing artist! I can barely draw a triangle. Carving the more intricate designs was a lot of fun but also pretty frustrating. I'm surprised we are able to use our hands after all the stamps we made. I'm left with 25 rad stamps, all for about 8 dollars.

If you were to make a stamp, what would you want it to look like? I'm a fan of shapes and patterns that I can use in my collages. Andie likes to use them on postcards she sends out.

  1. Very cute stamps! It's great that they were so cheap, plus they are totally one of a kind!

    1. Thanks! They wouldn't turn out half as good if Andie didn't draw them all :p Go make some!!! These are showing up in all of my collages so you will definitely see them.
