Mail Call

Another slow week in the life of pterodactyl post. I participated in a Postcrossing direct swap and received a nice postcard from Spain. Courtney, a pal from Australia, sent me a lovely card to let me know she is still alive! I haven't heard from her in a few months so it was a nice surprise. I'm in love with the love postage on that envelope!

Saturday I came home to find a message in a bottle hanging out in my mailbox.

This was sent to me from Stephanie, a pen pal who lives here in Rhode Island! I thought this was super nifty and would like to purchase some of my own Postal Bottles. The website seems to be for wholesale purchasing only. Stephanie mentioned in the letter she purchased this bottle at a store in Colorado. I will have to ask my cousin to find one for me!  I really love this idea and that it is fairly inexpensive to send!

  1. That's cool! That's the fist time I've seen that kind! Until you can get your hands on one, you could try using a water bottle. I saw someone use it here: http://www.giverslog.com/?p=6544

  2. Awww, I like that postal bottle! I've seen some wonderful letter bottles made from cola and water bottles. I haven't tried it myself but have been tempted more than once. :)

    1. It is cute, huh? I don't usually have plastic bottles but the next time I happen to have one, I know what I am doing with it!
