Slow Week

This week was a pretty slow mail week. A great reminder that you have to send mail to receive it! I hate to admit it but I have yet to write/send a letter in over a month! This weekend I was busy collaging envelopes as that is the most time consuming part of letter writing for me. After work this week I will get started on replying to my lovely mail friends. I am excited, there is a lot to write about.

This week I received a nice card, from my grandparents, congratulating me on my new job. Two letters were sent to me from my pen pals and I also received an adorable Christmas card from a good friend in Las Vegas. I really hope I can make a trip back home sometime soon!

I recently started reading up on the Month of Letters challenge that I saw on Return to Rural's blog. Have you heard about the challenge? It seems like a really neat idea and I hope to I am able to participate. Ideally, I would like to have 23 envelopes collaged before I even think about signing up but we will see what I can accomplish. My goal will be to have 23 envelopes ready to go by January 25th. I think that will give me enough time. Might be just the thing I need to kick start my creativity and help me make letter writing more of a daily habit.

Here is a sneak peek at a finished envelope that I did Friday evening. I wonder who will receive this colorful envelope?
