Birthday Mail!

As I mentioned, my birthday was on the 16th. Aside from having an awesome boyfriend who bought me a bunch of beautiful things (moleskine journals, yes!!), I received a bunch of delightful mail on Monday. All of it was unintentional, as I don't think most of my pen pals know my birthday but it was still great!

I came home from work to this adorable mailbox, from Becky, sitting on the stairs. I didn't realize it was a mailbox until I had to open it. It is adorable and I think I am going to use it to put my mail in until I can find something more permanent.
Becky sent me a smorgasbord of things. A pile of paper bits and stickers. In this pile is an amazing map of Southeast Asia which, even though maps are my favorite collage item, I don't think I have the heart to cut this into pieces. I'm thinking about framing it and putting it on my wall. I need more decoration and inspiration in my mail room! I can't wait to incorporate all of these paper goods into mail art envelopes.

Then I saw this mysterious bag with no clue as to what could be inside of it.

As I started unwrapping the newspaper, I saw the box of fountain pen ink and gasped! More ink, a new fountain pen! Tara is a happy camper. Apparently she received the pen and ink from a different pen pal but wasn't too fond of it so she passed it my way. It is a beautiful pen, pretty heavy with a nice thickness. The ink is really pretty, too. Thanks, Becky!!

Next up, we have a wonderful letter from Patty, over at Just Letter Rip. She sent along a bunch of fantastic paper goods: some cute stop sign stickers, a handmade envelope, paper bits and four fold and mails!  I can't wait to write letters on the fold and mails.

Best birthday ever? Yes! Nothing better than coming home to wonderful mail.
